The carnival

Today, Dai jing and I went for chess in school for a while, a split second actually! We went there and told Xinlan that we were going to join an Othello competition before leaving, I really don’t understand why she can’t call us (maybe she don’t know how to use a phone.. haha), must make us go all the way to school then satisfied. I think we went there to feed the mosquitoes. Dai jing got 3 bites and I got 1.

On the bus, there was an over-friendly bus driver; he greeted everyone that came up the bus and bid farewell to the people who alighted. Actually, Singapore should have more people like him then we would live in a more cheery place. Just look at the people everywhere, they are so unfriendly. People are now living in the world of their own; self-centred to put it. They go around with a sulky/straight/expressionless face, hardly bothering to know what’s happening around them. I really applaud the bus driver who made an effort to greet people! Maybe it is our conservative Asian culture that shapes us and determines our behaviour! Who knows?

I brought Sarah along for a carnival that Michelle and Fiona ask me to go. We met at Kallang MRT station. I saw so many sacians. They are know me as ‘that prefect’…haha It was quite funny because every time I introduce myself, they will ask,” Hey! Aren’t you that prefect?”

I was so delighted to see all the 4/8 people, Michelle, Fiona, Enlin, Hui ting and Cherri. Michelle changed so much. She looked so boyish. Almost could not recognise her. As usual, they are very crazy and very fun to be with. Michelle was talking non-stop. We linked hands and walked in a line, and Sarah was shocked that Michelle grabbed her arm. Actually, Sarah seems traumatised by all that had happened; she did not think my friends would be so crazy. We walked all the way from Kallang MRT to the indoor stadium, which was probably the longest walk. Fiona, the golden monkey was also complaining.

When we reached the carnival, I immediately rushed to the food stall. I was so hungry after all the walking. I got myself a cheesy-bbq hot dog and a slice of pizza.. Yummy!
In the end, instead of playing the games, all I did was eat. What a glutton, right? It is only natural because I am growing. Fiona wanted to ride on the fake bull and Michelle wanted to play the Gladiator game, but I did not get to see as I left early. What a pity! Later they would be having a church service at 7, I can’t wait until so late. But according to Sarah, they will be singing and jumping.. God knows why! Too bad I didn’t get to see and join them.. There would be only two possibilities if I join them, either I sing and jump with them or I stand there and laugh. Haha..

Now, I am alone at home again, where is everyone?
“It is only you and I now!” Nicole told her computer melancholy. Hahaha!
