Baby Boom..

This morning, I was awakened by a knock on the door, it probably also signals the start of a new day. The knocking was so loud that it probably woke up the deities too. (Let’s just assume they go to sleep and lead normal lives like we do!) In my sleepy, dishevelled look, I opened the door to see who it was. It was none other than my neighbour with her irritating granddaughter.

I: Good Morning! What can I do for you?
The grandmother said: My daughter give birth already!
The granddaughter shouted excitedly in her most innocent voice: My baby come out already!!!!

So do they want me to stitch her womb for her? I am not a doctor.. Shouldn’t they go to the hospital instead of knocking on my door? I thought to myself.. But of course, the polite me, didn’t say out aloud.

I: Oh! Wow! Lucky you!! Take care…Goodbye!!

Oh dear! The shrill cries of the baby will haunt me.. I will no longer lead a peaceful life. I like silence and stillness.. But with this baby next door, I doubt I can ever enjoy the silence and tranquillity..

Actually, I really don’t understand why people must pacify the government’s cry to increase the population. Haven’t we had enough people already?
Singapore is only a small red dot and with her population still growing. In the future won’t people have to stack on top of each other? Hey I think we are already stacking on top of each other- HDBs, double-decker buses, what more triple-decked buses?
I think the government should take a trip down to Orchard and see ordinary people like us inch our way through the crowd. Anyway, there is always this reply,” the government has plans for the future, for the good and not for the worst! People are needed to drive the economy!” So the underlying meaning here would therefore be “People are born to be economy boosters!”

Sometimes I wish I wasn’t born but since I was, I will lead life to the fullest and be an economy booster, to buy things and boost the sales! ;-) I think somehow or other, we are all trapped in this vicious cycle of monopoly (buying and selling).

Do you think there is a way to get out of it? Frankly, darling, I have no idea.

I think today I am in the mood for an argumentative essay.. So bring it on!

Oh! I have made up my mind about the Kayaking! I am not going! I will go for it when the weather is ready. Before I arrived at this decision, I spoke to a sailing instructor and he said the water would be choppy. So I guess I won’t be trying my luck this time although I think it would be fun. I don’t like having regrets by the decisions I make in life, although I sometimes do, but it’ll pass. Hehe!

Later, I got dance again. My muscle still aches but I have no choice.
When I went for dance, I saw this teacher wearing a blue dress with puffed-sleeves and a ribbon tied at the back.. like a small little girl. For a moment, I thought I was in Alice in Wonderland..

In the evening, I will be having dinner with my aunties, they are far too concern about my complexion that they bought me some aloe vera pimple cream and later they are going to pass it to me.

weEEEee.. my econs cum into place le.. haha..

u c ar.. s'pore has a small and open economy, hence she has to relie greatly on human resources.. with current decreasing birth rates, this would mean that in the long run, the working population will be smaller than that of the older, non-working population.. dis will b a great burdan to the working population.. in addition, the government has to spend large amount of money on health care services, etc.. n dis is not beneficial to our economy..

the point on the crowd at orchard road.. u c ar.. spore has limited land space.. tt y.. *tata* we haf "human jam".. lolx.. tt y d government has been tryin to solve dis problem thru' several ways lyke land reclaiming, buildin sky-scrapers, encouragin ppl to go aboard n invest, etc

But it seems as though ppl are giving birth more quickly than the government being able to reclaim land. So, the land space must be proportionate to the population! Just imagine this, a big head and a small body... what is the conseqences of it?

W.t-comment on this!

Then Singapore will be a baby-making factory.. Couples can also make money by giving birth through those incentives implemented.
Recently, I walked along orchard road and found so many kids. I think they are obstructing the way. They walk so slow and if they are on strollers, their strollers are getting in the way. This is especially frustrating when you are in the hurry!
