Last day of school!
Here I am by my lonesome self again, my computer, books and I… My mum went out and my father is going off to Australia tonight. Guess what I am eating for dinner?
Melted cheese on top of boiled potatoes, sour cream for dressing and potato toppers, 3 pieces of crispy bacon.. Yummy!
I shouldn’t have gone to school so early today! There was practically nothing to do. Because of the rain we couldn’t play tennis today. Come to think of it, today was relaxing and quite fun. Mimi and I used Sarah’s account to play Yahoo! Pool and reversi. I won one game of reversi and mimi lost the other! But she won 2 games of pool against some Argentina guy. I soon got bored with computer games and called Dai jing, Sarah and Jie Yin for Frisbee..
Before we knew it, we were in the field having fun. Jie Yin very funny.. Haha
Jie Yin: You think too high of me Lah!
*When I threw the Frisbee over her head!
Then we got back our results, those who did not meet the criteria for promotion was trembling with fear! Their fate was in Mdm Twu’s hands, but to their relief, everyone got promoted. Sarah said she will cry but in the end she did not..
Was supposed to have extra Chinese lesson after that but.. Miss Yue was so stressed up! Seems like today is a lousy day for her.. The printer failed her and the list goes on.. Looks like the rate of depression in Singapore will escalate. Cheer up! Life is short so don’t brood over meaningless, insignificant stuff! :-)
Went back to SAC with Abigail since got nothing to do. Oh dear, the moment I stepped in Citra, the eager beaver, gave me a warm welcome with a hug! By the way, that’s a tradition in SAC..
When we reached there, it finally dawned upon me how long I'd been away..So many things have changed but it felt quite surreal..Seeing familiar things but being distant from it, no longer familiar. We heard that today was Mr Robb’s last day in SAC..
The first person I saw was Mrs Loh, the principal! Hey, she can still remember me for the chocolate cake. Then I saw Mrs Lim.. I miss her so much!! In monotone voice yet endearing, were words of wisdom or at least I thought so! She is the best Maths teacher..
I saw Mdm Kee and she said I lost weight.. hmmm…did I?
They are all so concerned! Miss Thanabal came down from the music room and asked me to organise a gathering at the esplanade.. She always so poetic.. She said we should sit by the river and watch the waves go by.. Mrs Lopez and Mrs Joseph were with her.. Mrs Lopez still looks so round and cute..
Mrs Boo suddenly appeared from nowhere. She still looks like an army ant!
I told her I failed Chem and she told us not to take Chem cos it is a difficult subject. Since she is teaching Mr Tan Ah Lek’s daughter, she asked what Mr Tan talk about her.. She is always so comical.. This teacher never fails to make me laugh.
The moment I saw the Chinese teachers, they immediately asked how I fared in the JC. I said I got a C5 and they were all shocked yet they are proud of me. Mdm Heng especially, encouraged me. They thought I would fail Chinese in a JC but I proved them wrong this time.. But I wouldn’t say I would prove them wrong again in the A’levels.
Mr Sim said that all the convent girls are unique; there is something special about us that are unexplainable. Finally, I saw Mdm Chan, my idol! She looks so cool! Her dressing always so elegant and classy and she carries herself with confidence!
Walking around the school, really makes me feel like I was transported from a green place to a place so blue and white. Everything changed a lot.. I really miss all the teachers and the places I used to fool around.. I also miss the food, but I finally got to eat it!
