Larger than life!

I want a Checker OP skirt!
I want to learn how to play GOLF!
I want to buy a set of ballerina influence lingerie!

There is just too many wants!

This morning I saw Mr Lim and he was waving and smiling at me. Then during his lesson he asks if my mum follow me to school everyday! What a weird question.
School was alright! The muffins were great. No gavel today so I had to wait until 12.50pm then I could leave the school! So I waited in the library to read reader’s digest! I also borrowed a book to read over the weekends.

I went out to eat Yong Tau Fu at the Tampines interchange foodcourt. A dishevelled old man with a walking stick came near me but he sat a table away. I didn’t really bother because I was concentrating on my food. Who knows? After I left, he came to eat my food. The moment I stood up, he came towards me and sat at the table I was sitting. He began fishing out my leftovers. I was so shocked and was overwhelming with emotions.

I didn’t witness anything like this before and I have never imagine something like that were to happen to me. It suddenly occurred to me that I have been very wasteful. All my wants can never be satisfied and here is an old man eating just to live. He wouldn’t fuss about what to eat. I feel so ashamed. There was an urge to reach into my bag to hand him some money to get himself some proper food but I was embarrass to do so. I didn’t know how he might react. He might not even want people to pity him. My pride got the better of me and in my opinion, I failed to do was morally right.

I drifted along the shops dreamily with a guilty conscience. I thought about how lucky Grandpa Leonardo was and how he always complains that he is sick of chicken. The world immediately shrinks and there was more to it than pure living and living in comfort. I always admire those who are more fortunate than me but I fail to see those who are worse off than me, those whose aim in life is for pure survivor and nothing else. When such things happen I realised how lucky I am.

Now,
I don’t want to the OP skirt!
Golf can wait until later when I am older!
I don’t want the set of lingerie anymore!
