Sport's day!
Today is the annual Sport’s day!
Everyone wore half-uniform. The teachers wore their sporty attire. Miss Chua wore the class jersey. It was too big for her and all of us. Miss Yue came in T-shirt, track pants and converse shoes today. So Cute! Haha..
We changed into our class jersey midway through the event. We all look terrible in it. It was like a pyjamas. I can even swim in mine. Josiah says I should put Femme Fatale on it. That was the initial choice but I saw someone having that already! Then I chose Vivacious. It means a woman who is vivacious has a lot of energy and a happy attractive way of behaving.
When we were going to the toilet, I saw Miss Mak and Mr Tan CB in the canteen. He is always so comical. As usual, he commented on how I sit. The way he sits is even more feminine than me, legs crossed at an angle; I must really learn how to sit like him. He keeps correcting how I sit! Oh! He even asked me if I still write about him in my blog. He is a very irritating individual. I won’t specify his gender. He commented that I look like the cat from Alice in Wonderland. Hey Mister! Then he asked if anyone label him or said he resemble someone. Every time I turn to talk to Sarah, he would think I am talking about him. Why? Why? He thinks I am very cheeky and naughty but I am as obedient as can be. I can conclude he is a very suspicious individual!
Then I was telling him about how some mean people labelled Miss Piggy and Garfield. He laughed so loudly and sinisterly. He said it is the greatest joke this morning. I think he is so mean.
Then he went on to say that these two characters have something in common that is they are all fat. I can’t believe his frankness. Must he really spell it out? But I think Miss Piggy is cute. I still have a Miss Piggy blanket.
I think Mr Tan CB is kermit, the frog. Both Miss Mak and I can imagine him under the palm tree, wearing a straw hat and a colourful t-shirt, strumming the guitar and singing. Miss Piggy would then do the Hawaiian dance beside. Miss mak laugh and laugh upon visualising this scenario. He said Miss Mak is cookie monster.
Before the 12X100m race, all went to the hall to stretch. We did some silly exercise like holding each other and squatting up and down. But it was fun.
During the staff race, the way Miss Yue ran was very cute. She held out the baton even before reaching the next person. Whoohoo! Lots of teachers ran very fast. Mr Tan PK also took part!! Whoohoo!
We had to get ready for the race, everyone was nervous. There I was standing at lane 7 near the rock wall waiting for Mui Hia to pass me the baton. The atmosphere was intense. S03 was cheering for us. The moment Mui Hia passed me the baton, I ran like crazy, I couldn’t even feel my legs. I overtook the second runner and slapped the baton into Xiao Ying’s palm. It was a fleeting moment and everything was over. We came in second. We were overjoyed by our remarkable effort. The feeling was ecstatic. I saw Mrs Sze and she was surprise that I can run that fast. Haha.. I always surprise people.
But when the results and timing were tabulated, news that we came in 4th out of an overall of 16 classes left us dumbfounded and stunned. We thought the positioning was according to each race and not the overall timing. Furthermore, we were only 5seconds away from the team that came in first. Oh well!
Then Ben commented that success is a journey and not a destination.
Mr Toh was smirking because we all look so sad. When the winners of the 12X100m race were announced, our heads hung low and we felt sour. I didn’t really feel sour about the winners. I was quite please with my timing though. Well, even though our painstaking efforts of training in the afternoon, didn’t allow us to get a medal, it sure brought our class closer together and it gave me a tan. Haha. But I am glad we came in second in the race.
